satisfied
No complaints. Fast, reliable, versatile, easy to use and quiet. I am completely satisfied with the purchase. I use it primarily for small business so it gets a fair workout and I have had no issues since the purchase 9 months ago.

Outstanding!
I don't think I've ever written a review for a product before in my life. That alone should say volumes about this scanner. It's outstanding. I just scanned hundreds of sheets in a few minutes, and the Scansnap compiled them all into a single convenient PDF document. What a huge time saver.
I really like that there are customizable options for image quality, image type, scanning speed, etc. The scan quality on the highest setting is very good (I'm a graphic designer and have a discerning eye).
It's overall very user friendly; however it did take me a while to figure out how to get it to save as a JPG -- you apparently have to select "color scan" and then hit "Apply" (not just proceed to the image type tab, without hitting "Apply"). I also hadn't realized that the scanner app on the computer won't function unless the scanner lid is open and the scanner power light is on. That's fine -- but just would have been helpful to know.
If this scanner died I'd buy another in a second. Highly recommended!

Awesome scanner 5 stars!
I knew this scanner was going to be what I needed. I receive documents that have to be signed, so I sign them and then scan them, but having it scan as a PDF File is the icing. It's easy to use. Also, it has added feature that you can power it with a laptop, meaning that if you have clients that have to sign documents, you can then scan a bunch of docs, it saves it as a pdf and you email it. Believe it or not, it has helped at work because I've been able to email important signed documents whereas someone else would forget or take more time to reply. I print, scan and email. Worth the money, especially if you're self-employed and have clients.

Snap Scan fast and easy
I found the SnapScan S300M pretty slick. It is compact and the AC adapter is likewise compact, not a big brick. I found the auto duplex feature nice and made for easy compiling of like data in a compact neat PDF file. I really wanted to buy the case for this scanner, but thus far, it seems to be on permanent back order.

Great tool for a new workflow
This device is great, especially if you use it in a simple manner. I scan things into file folders (much like the analog system it's replacing). I set up different modes: Scan several pages into one pdf, scan 2 pages into 1 pdf, scan 1 page into 1 pdf. I then save these individual files into my folders and then shred the files.
Nothing fancy and it works great for that. It also can scan things straight into programs, but that's not something I really need. I just need all my papers on disk so I can clear out some file cabinets.
I've already recommended this product (or rather the S1300) to others.
